Morissolo

Morissolo 2560 1707 Camping Conca d'Oro | Oasi di relax sul Lago Maggiore

Follow Camping Village Conca D’Oro and Natural Mind Professional to Monte Morissolo: a walk in the footsteps of history is waiting for you!

From the heights of Verbania, in Piancavallo, we take the flat military path that takes its name from the General of the WWI Luigi Cadorna (born in Pallanza), which in the logic of the war of position and in view of a possible enemy attack from Switzerland then never occurred, he built a system of fortifications (mule tracks, trenches, artillery positions and logistics) between Lake Maggiore and Mount Massone.

It is along this perfectly preserved line of defense that the route to Mount Morissolo winds: a path surrounded by a lush and wild nature that culminates in one of the most panoramic points of our region, where the view sweeps from Mount Zeda, which rises from Val Grande, to Milan and to Locarno.

An exciting journey, balanced between past and present, all around Lake Maggiore and close to Val Grande: a unique opportunity to enjoy your vacation at Camping Village Conca D’Oro in an active and original way, with Alessandro and many other friends!

This is just one of the many excursions you can take part in! Check out the program and discover with us a whole world enclosed between lake and mountains!

Mount Camoscio 2560 1696 Camping Conca d'Oro | Oasi di relax sul Lago Maggiore

Get your trekking shoes ready: we’re off to conquer Mount Camoscio, the mountain that overlooks Baveno!

The path starts right from Baveno and goes through the marvelous chestnut wood up to the Stonemason’s Museum, a natural clearing with installations dedicated to the history of the mountain and to the traditional profession of “picasass”, an activity that has contributed to the notoriety of the territory and to the widespread significance that all this preserves in the heart of the population!

The famous pink granite of Baveno, in fact, is not only historically used in local construction but has gradually been the star of Italian and international architectural history. Sitting on the top of the mountain, in good company and under Alessandro’s guidance, we will chat, drink a glass of wine and enjoy a breathtaking view, ranging from the Val Grande to the palaces of Milan, framed by Lake Maggiore with its Borromean Islands.

Antrona Lake

Antrona Lake 2560 1707 Camping Conca d'Oro | Oasi di relax sul Lago Maggiore

An exciting excursion starting on the shores of Lake Antrona up to Campliccioli Dam: a ring-route through sceneries and landscapes of rare beauty.

Lake Antrona is one of the most beautiful natural lakes of the region, located near the small town that gives it its name and formed in 1642 after a terrible landslide that obstructed the stream Troncone. The same stream was later blocked by a dam built between 1924 and 1928 and having a considerable economic and historical importance for the whole area and that today still stands majestically with its 80 meters of height at the base of the artificial Lake of Campliccioli.

Among enchanting views and moments of relax in the nature, we will easily reach the highlight of this excursion: the passage under the Sajont waterfall, made possible thanks to a steel gangway suspended on the green waters of Antrona Lake.
A tasty snack with a view, a glass of local wine and a chat with Alessandro are enough to immediately become good friends!
