An area with a history to live

Here, every corner tells something. Historic villas, lush gardens, fortresses and museums retain the charm of bygone eras, while the landscape delivers authentic emotions. Conca D’Oro Camping & Lodge is your gateway to an extraordinary territory: just a few kilometers from Stresa and Verbania, from the embarkations for the Borromean Islands, from the suggestive Lakes of Mergozzo and Orta, from the botanical gardens of Villa Taranto and from the Ossola valleys, where nature puts on a show.

Borromeo Islands

A group of islands in Lake Maggiore, including Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola dei Pescatori. Famous for their historical buildings, baroque gardens and unique atmosphere, they are a must for anyone visiting the area.

Mottarone

A mountain between Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta, famous for its breathtaking panorama of seven lakes. It is an ideal destination for hiking, winter sports and cable car rides from Stresa (when active).

Villa Taranto

A wonderful botanical garden located in Verbania, on the shores of Lake Maggiore. Created by the Scottish captain Neil McEacharn, it is home to thousands of plant species from all over the world, in a well-kept and evocative itinerary.

Feriolo

A picturesque lakeside village, part of Baveno, with a small beach and quiet lakeside promenade. Ideal for walking, relaxing and as a starting point for excursions on the lake.

Boat Excursions

Be enchanted by the beauty of the Borromean Islands, historic villas, and villages overlooking the lake. Every week from April through October, you can participate in a wide range of boat excursions, including cultural tours, local markets, sunset cruises, and island dinners.
Departures are from Feriolo, within walking distance of the campground: convenient, easy, no car travel required. Book at the front desk in a few moments.
Suitable for couples, families, friends or solo travelers: every day a different, carefree experience.
